Grand Slam

A “Grand Slam” refers to a term primarily used in sports, particularly in tennis and baseball. In tennis, it signifies winning all four major championships in a single calendar year: the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. Achieving a Grand Slam is a prestigious accomplishment that underscores a player’s dominance within the sport during that period.

In baseball, a Grand Slam describes a specific play where a batter hits a home run while all three bases are occupied, resulting in four runs being scored—one for each player on base and one for the batter.

The term can also extend to other contexts, including card games and other competitive fields, where it denotes a major achievement involving sweeping various titles or accolades.
