Natural Disasters

Natural disasters are catastrophic events caused by natural processes of the Earth that result in significant damage, destruction, and loss of life. These events can include phenomena such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, volcanic eruptions, landslides, tsunamis, droughts, and wildfires. Natural disasters often arise from geological, meteorological, or climatic conditions and typically occur with little or no warning. They can lead to widespread destruction of infrastructure, displacement of populations, and long-term economic and environmental impacts. The intensity and frequency of natural disasters can be exacerbated by human activities, such as deforestation, urban development, and climate change. Their effects can disrupt communities, economies, and ecosystems, making disaster preparedness and response crucial for minimizing harm and aiding recovery.
